How does the Malware / Viruses get onto our PC's / Workstations in the first place ?

This can be done in many ways, most are from website's especially childrens websites as they are an easy target, they don't know what Malware / Viruses are, other than a cold they get now and again! By clicking onto a streaming video link, downloading a free game, downloading a free screensaver, there are hundreds of ways that can trigger the install of the rogue application.

When you click on an install button or play link to a video, you are giving the permission to install the application on your machine, whilst you think your getting a free game or a funny video, your getting your machine compromised with all sorts of Malware and viruses.

Now the Malware and Viruses are installed during the installation of the application like and yes they are real viruses. The application says that it can remove these viruses for you if you pay a fee (normally $29) STOP THERE, DO NOT DO A SCAN OR DETECTION using this rogue application that has appeared on your machine.

At this stage you must download Malwarebytes using the links at the top of this page and perform a 'Quick Scan'. The longer you leave it the worse your machine will get. As time goes on it will get more infections due to your PC has been compromised until your machine is completely unusable, then you will have to get someone to either remove it bit by bit or re-image your PC or laptop from scratch. This as you know can be an huge avoidable expense !!
